this is an example of an As-Live video. the band are performing as if this were a live performance, however there is no audience and the actual recording of the track is done seperately to the video then placed over the video. therefore this video is as-live. this is helpful research because we are going to film the chorus of our song as an As-Live video, we will be filming whilst in the studio, so there is footage of me singing but the track will still be placed over the video.

Ed Sheeran - The A-team
This video is an example of a narrative music video. A narrative video is a music video that tells a story, this video tells the story of a young girl who's life is in a downward spiral. The tone of the music helps convey the emotion of the story and the narrative and music complement each other as the lyrics of the song relate to what is happening in the video. This is helpful for research because our song is also quite emotive and its good to see a video that can convey the same emotions as we'd like to and the conventions they use to do this.
